About Barrie and Bev Downie
One of the most important things about choosing your wedding photographers is knowing that you will get on with them on the day so here are a few facts about us!
We have both been full-time professional photographers since 2005. Before that, Bev was Assistant to the Racecourse Manager at Goodwood Racecourse and Barrie used to teach people to drive racing cars at the Goodwood Motor Circuit. It is here that we met (thanks to former F1 Driver Johnny Herbert - that's a long story, ask us about it!) and discovered our shared passion for photography.
We were married in 2008, in Venice. Bev wore a red and black wedding dress and Barrie wore a chalk striped suit with a red lapel.
We live in a converted stable block next to Chichester Harbour.
We are both Honorary Fellows of the Society of Wedding and Portrait Photographers. We judge in the UK and overseas.
We have a crazy black labrador called Gillie who thinks he is human.
Bev once spent a day looking after Ewan Macgregor and yes, he was lovely!
Barrie used to race Caterhams.
We love travelling. In 2011, Bev went cage diving with Great White Sharks in Mexico and Barrie drove a Nascar at the Las Vegas Speedway.
We have never had an arguement in the 10 years we have been together.
We would love to photograph your wedding!
