Wedding Inspiration Grooms Stuff Wedding Venues
Wedding Venues Choosing the venue for your ceremony and reception is likely to be one of the first decisions you make once you have set a date for your wedding. Decide on what sort of ceremony you want, whether civil or religous and then contact the registrar or the Minister to check that your date is available.
Civil ceremonies may be conducted in any licensed venue and there is a wide choice of locations from football stadiums to stately homes and castles.
Your chosen venue will have a big influence on the look of your wedding photographs so consider the interior of the venue from this point of view as well as functionality. A funky, modern hotel or an atmospheric castle will look great in photographs.
When picking your venues you need to consider: 1) Will the ceremony and reception take place in the same location? 2) How many people will be attending and will you have additional evening guests? 3) How will your guests get to the reception from the ceremony if they are a distance apart and is there local accommodation that they can book? 4) What will you want in the way of evening entertainment? Some venues don't allow fireworks, others have noice limiters. 5) Does the venue offer exclusive use for your wedding or will there be other guests around and how will this affect your use of the venue? 6) Can you arrange your own caterers? If the catering is done in house, is it possible to have a menu tasting?
