    We are Barrie and Bev Downie, both full-time professional UK wedding photographers who work together photographing weddings across the UK and Europe. Our style is a mixture of contemporary fine art and relaxed, unposed reportage wedding photography giving you a complete coverage of your wedding day.

    Our base is Chichester on the South Coast but we regularly travel to photograph weddings in London and at venues across the country. We have also been commissioned to photograph weddings in Switzerland, Austria, France and Portugal. We are recommended wedding photographers at many venues including Goodwood House, Highclere Castle and the Mandarin Oriental in London.

Roz and Tom’s wedding at Caswell House

Yesterday was Ro and Tom’s wedding at Caswell House in Oxfordshire. Caswell House is a gorgeous venue and the gardens were looking stunning.

Roz is a huge fan of the Back to the Future Films and was delighted by the DeLorean Time Machine organised as a surprise by her parents! Tom is an aeronautical engineer and so the display by the National Model Aircraft flying champion was a fitting touch for the entertainment. In the evening a four piece band provided the musical entertainment for the guests to party into the evening.

Weddings at Kensington Palace

Wow! Yesterday was one of the most high energy weddings we have ever seen. Danielle and Filipe both got ready at the beautiful Lanesborough Hotel before a short trip around the block to Kensington Palace. This historic Palace has just reopened after a £12 Million pound renovation. The couple had a humanist ceremony and hand fasting in the Orangery before the entire wedding party headed down to the Palace for a visit to the King’s State Apartments. During this time we were able to take some really fun shots of the Bridal Party and also some of our signature images of the couple together. Dinner was interspersed with some incredibly energetic dancing and moving speeches. As we were leaving at the end of the night, Danielle and Filipe were just thinking about heading off clubbing with many of their friends! Danielle and Filipe are off to Bora Bora for their honeymoon – we look forward to catching up with them when they get home.

Pre Wedding Photography In London

I had a great day photographing a couple who had flown in from Hong Kong for a pre wedding shoot in the beautiful spring sunshine in London yesterday. Thank you to the friendly people at Hamptons International Tower Bridge for the loan of the bike!.
